Looptek Univergence is free trial streaming software that enables users and their family's to remotely view their personal media files at different PC's, TV/HDTV and webcams from any Internet-enabled device using the IE browser PC. The next version will support Smart phones and pocket PC's.Looptek Univergence also allows the user to stream live TV from the home computer if it has a TV tuner card.

Looptek Univergence works in one of 2 ways. As an application loaded on your PC or as a web page. The web page version is AJAX enabled and Yahoo YUI based. The application is a full featured TV and streaming application that you download from here. The web site version allows you to easily access the PC on which you have already installed the appliction version. You can try web version here, http://www.looptek.com/univergence. PC's, PDA's and Smart Phone are also capable of using the web version.

1. Download and install Looptek Univergence on your Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows Media Center PC
2. Create your free account.
3. Log into your account remotely, browse your media files and stream them. It's important to note that the media files never leave your home PC, they are transcoded and streamed directly from your PC.

Looptek Univergence doesn't require that you install any software on the client side. It uses the IE web browser and the Windows Media player.

Steaming:

Looptek Univergence will detect the type of device you're using, and adapt the stream according to your windows player availability and the network quality. Looptek Univergence supports streaming format.

All your music, pictures and video files stored on your home computer are made available for streaming. If you have a NTSC, PAL, ATSC or DVB-T TV tuner card then live TV and previously recorded TV program are also available for streaming. And if you have a webcam, you can also stream it for home security and video conferencing.

You can go anywhere there is an Internet connection and link back to your home PC. Link and access all your PC's together to become a media center. All of your pc's become just like a buddy list, click the content and directly play it, so easy, so fast.

.PC to PDA and Smart Phone:

If you have a TV tuner card or web cam, the Looptek Univergence software can redirect up to four live TV streams from a TV tuner card, satellite receiver, webcam or PVR to the viewer's PC located anywhere in the home or, when using a broadband Internet connection, anywhere in the world. The user can change TV channels or schedule TV programs to be recorded. Currently we Support ATSC, DVB-T, NTSC and PAL TV formats.

.HDTV:

The current version has full support for ATSC TV tuner. Beta support is currently available for the DVB-T format. Support is also included for an Electronic Program Guide and subtitles.

.Music:

the Looptek Univergence can listen and stream to PC's in other rooms. Using the Internet, you can setup the content folders that you want to share.
